I create glass sculptures that represent landscapes and landscape elements meaningful to me.

My current collection, Landscapes in Glass expresses the ethereal and changing nature of landscape, sky, wind, and water. As an avid traveler, I use a variety of locations for inspiration in my work. Each freestanding abstract glass sculpture captures a moment in time like a three dimensional transparent watercolor. Much like the natural environment, the look of each piece changes with the amount and direction of light, creating variety and nuance to each sculpture.

Blake Warner’s appreciation of the natural environment was a motivational factor in choosing her design career both in landscape and in glass. As an artist and retired landscape architect, she brings her design skill, passion and experience to the kiln glass studio. She has studied at the Corning Museum of Glass Studio and Bullseye Glass Resource Centers to develop the technical skills necessary to create unique cast sculptural pieces inspired by the natural environment. Blake incorporates the colors and patterns of place into her kiln formed and kiln cast works to capture the beauty of light and form.
